Playing a mix of Klezmer, Balkan and Gypsy songs for youngsters and adults.
These workshops are intended for everyone who wants to get to know folkloristic elements, several irregular rhythms and ‘Gypsy passion’.
Originally Klezmermusic is the traditional instrumental wedding music from the Slavic countries and Eastern Europe.
Balkan and Klezmer music there were influenced by Gypsy’s and in the USA by Jazz.
In these workshops attention is paid for improvisation on your own instrument. The ensemble-leader makes the arrangements and adjusts the sheet music to the level of the student.
For whom?: strings, wood- and brass instruments, (bas-) guitars, percussionists, accordionists, pianists and singers.
